1 - Promotion programs from the airlines

- Jetstar has a "Super-promotion weekend" program, which runs from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm Sunday every week. Every day, the airline offers some promotion for any flight, so during that time, remember to persevere every day to spend a few minutes on the company's website to check. For example, there was a time when I hunted for a ticket from Hanoi - Bangkok, costing VND 149,000 (excluding taxes & fees). With the criteria you choose: flying on the busy day (depart on Wednesday and return on Sunday), not flying in the evening, the time to fly is the summer, the price including taxes and fees of less than 2 million is also considered cheap. And usually the price must be at least 2,500,000 VND.

- Vietjet: there used to be the program "it’s 12 o'clock. Vietjet" but recently I have not seen the airline run this program anymore.

- Vietnam Airlines: This company has the promotion "High class, extremely low price". This means that from Tuesday to Sunday, the airline will select about 8- 10 domestic routes to apply during a certain departure time. I have booked a promotional flight for a friend, flight Ho Chi Minh city - Nha Trang in July this year, fare at 399,000 VND (excluding taxes & fees). Including tax is 1,088,000 VND / round trip ticket. Without the promotion, economy fare is 2,190,000 VND / round trip. Very good isn’t it? 2 - Some good tips during the booking process
- Write all information to a word file: Cheap airfares appear every now and then, that means when you are searching for cheap airfares, they appear, however when it comes to the payment step, the agent says the session has expired, or the website is overloaded. because of too many visits and you have to make the booking again. In order to avoid filling out all information from the beginning again, you should write down the passenger information in word file including: Departure point, Departure date, Destination, Return date, Last name (Example: Tran), Name (Example: Van Minh) , Address, City, Country, Province, Email, Date of Birth, phone number, luggage, if applicable. From there, just copy and paste is fine.

- Save information in the browser cache: Or before the opening of cheap airfares of about 30 minutes, you try to book tickets on the airline website, fill in all correct information of people in the group, contact person, etc., then save the cache, so that after the actual booking, the browser will remember the information it filled in earlier and appear for you to choose, without having to fill it out again. This saves a lot of time while you book!

- Open many different browsers: During the promotion flight hunting, you should open the airlines’ website on different browsers. According to my experience and many friends who hunt for cheap airfares, open firefox browser, the possibility to have cheap tickets will be 3-4 times more than other browsers. Also remember to hunt for cheap airfares on smartphones as well.

I have not found out the reason why, but it is true that the English language for the airlines’ website is less suspended and hunt faster than the Vietnamese language.
Note: booking ticket for one individual person will result in more cheap airfares than booking for 2 or more people. So you just have to book multiple times, or ask your friends to book together. It takes effort but will save quite a bit of money.

3 - Keep an eye on the promotion programs from travel companies
Besides the airlines, travel companies also launch many attractive discount programs to compete. However, you should also pay attention to choose reputable companies if you do not want to lose money. The signs to identify prestigious travel companies such as: clear addressing with phone numbers, recommended by many travel forums, with the icon "Registered with the Ministry of Industry and Trade", professionally built website…

Last time I visited Webtretho forum and saw the mothers share the discount codes of a travel company. I tried to make a booking, figuring out if the group of 10 people you can save 1.000.000 VND.
